Ingredients:
- Broccoli finely chopped -1 bowl
- Medium size potato boiled and mashed -2
- Mozrella cheese grated -1/2 cup
- Cooking oil for shallow frying
- Green chillies chopped-2(according to taste)
- Garlic grated-1 tsp
- Roasted cumin powder-1 tsp
- Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp(according to taste)
- Black pepper powder-1/4 tsp
- Amchur powder-1 tsp
- Breadcrumbs
- Maida/all purpose flour-2 tbsp
- Salt(according to taste)
Process:
- Chop broccoli finely
- Chop green chillies and grate garlic
- Heat 2 tsp oil, add garlic and green chillies and stir for one minute
- Add chopped broccoli, salt and black pepper and mix well
- Stir occasionally and cook for 10 min till raw smell of broccoli is gone, and mixture is soft and mushy
- Once broccoli is properly cooked, add boiled and mashed potato
- Mix well
- Put the mixture in a bowl and let it cool down
- Grate cheese
- Add grated cheese in the broccoli mixture and mix well
- Add red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, and amchur powder
- Mix well
- Add 1/2 cup breadcrumbs and mix well
- Take a separate bowl, add 2 tbsp maida/all purpose flour, and add water to make the batter, it should not be very thick or thin.
- Take little bit of brocolli mixture and make tikkis
- Dip the tikki's in batter
- Dip both sides in the batter
- Coat both sides of tikkis with breadcrumbs
- Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying, and start frying the tikki's
- Cook both sides till golden brown
- Its ready to serve
