Crunchy cheesy Broccoli bites

Ingredients:
  • Broccoli finely chopped -1 bowl
  • Medium size potato boiled and mashed -2
  • Mozrella cheese grated -1/2 cup
  • Cooking oil for shallow frying
  • Green chillies chopped-2(according to taste)
  • Garlic grated-1 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder-1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp(according to taste)
  • Black pepper powder-1/4 tsp
  • Amchur powder-1 tsp
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Maida/all purpose flour-2 tbsp
  • Salt(according to taste)
Process:
  • Chop broccoli finely 


  • Chop green chillies and grate garlic



  • Heat 2 tsp oil, add garlic and green chillies and stir for one minute



  • Add chopped broccoli, salt and black pepper and mix well 




  • Stir occasionally and cook for 10 min till raw smell of broccoli is gone, and mixture is soft and mushy



  • Once broccoli is properly cooked, add boiled and mashed potato


  • Mix well


  • Put the mixture in a bowl and let it cool down


  • Grate cheese

  • Add grated cheese in the broccoli mixture and mix well



  • Add red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, and amchur powder 




  • Mix well


  • Add 1/2 cup breadcrumbs and mix well


  • Take a separate bowl, add 2 tbsp maida/all purpose flour, and add water to make the batter, it should not be very thick or thin.
  • Take little bit of brocolli mixture and make tikkis 

  • Dip the tikki's in batter



  • Dip both sides in the batter


  • Coat both sides of tikkis with breadcrumbs





  • Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying, and start frying the tikki's

  • Cook both sides till golden brown



  • Its ready to serve
