Spicy green onion curry

In this post i am going to share a recipe which is for a change not very common in Indian cuisine . Although this a again a very healthy and easy to cook dish for lunch or dinner.



Serves :-  2

Ingredients:
  • Green onion chopped - 1bowl
  • Cooking oil - 3 tbsp
  • A pinch of asafoetida(hing) 
  • 1/4 tsp cumin(jeera)
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tsp garlic chopped
  • 1/4 tomato chopped
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin(jeera ) powder
  • 1 tsp coriander( dhania) powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • Salt( according to taste)

Process:
  • Wash and chop green onion as shown in the picture below


  • Prepare all other ingredients ginger grated, garlic chopped, green chillies and tomatos chopped 


  • Heat the pan and add 3 tbsp oil, heat should be medium

  • Add a pinch of hing and 1/4 tsp cumin(jeera)and stir



  • Add garlic and stir till garlic is light brown

  • Add ginger, green chillies  and stir

  • Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp cumin(jeera)powder, 1 tsp coriander(dhania) powder and salt according to taste and mix well


  • Add chopped tomatoes and mix well


  • Add chopped green onion and mix well and cover it for 5 min on medium heat , green onion will release some water




  • Now open it and add 1/4 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder and mix well



  • Let it cook for sometime without covering it till water is evaporated and occasionally stir



  • When water completely evaporated add plain or masala boondi and mix well



  • Turn off the stove and its ready to serve
