In this post I am sharing my recipe of "Palak Onion Pakora/bhajji". It goes well with tea as a quick evening snack.
Ingredients:
- Spinach(palak) chopped -2 cup
- Onion sliced-1 cup
- Cooking oil for shallow frying
- Green chillies chopped-2(according to taste)
- A pinch of asafetida(hing)
- Gram flour(besan)-5 to 6 tbsp
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder(according to taste)
- Salt(according to taste)
Process:
- Put chopped spinach in a bowl
- Slice onion and chop green chillies for bhajji
- Add sliced onion and chopped green chillies into the chopped spinach
- Add gram flour(besan) in the bowl
- Add a pinch of asafetida(hing) and 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
- Add 1/4 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp coriander powder and salt(according to taste)
- Add 3 to 4 tbsp water and mix well, keep it aside for 5 to 10 min.
- Heat the pan and put oil for shallow fry
- Put bhajji mixture one by one in the pan
- Once it cooked from bottom sides, flip it and let it cook from other side
- Once done, take it out in a plate
- Sprinkle chat masala and serve hot with chutney
