Homemade paneer

Homemade Paneer!! what can be better than this, instead of buying frozen paneer of cold storage. In this post I am going to share recipe of making paneer at home.




Ingredients:
  • Whole milk or 2% reduced fat milk - 4 cups
  • Lemon juice - 1 Lemon 
 Process:
  • Squeeze lemon juice into bowl and remove all seeds from juice


  • Boil milk in a pan



  • When its boiled, add some lemon juice and stir on medium heat




  • Keep adding lemon juice till milk starts to curdle


  • Turn off the stove, and drain the water from paneer 
 



  • Add some cold water in the drained paneer, keep it aside for 5 to 10 min to cool down



  • Take out the paneer in a cloth and squeeze to drain all the water from it




  • Spread it on the cloth to give it proper shape pressing by hand


  • Paneer is ready to use, it can be stored in refrigerator for a week
