Crispy cabbage pakora

In this post i am going to share alternate use of cabbage as cabbage pakora.



Serves : 2

Ingredients:

  • Cabbage chopped-1 cup
  • 1/2 medium size onion chopped
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • 2 green chillies chopped(according to taste)
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • A pinch of hing(asafoetida)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin(jeera) powder
  • 1/2 tsp  coriander(dhania) powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder(according to taste)
  • 1/2 cup gram flour/besan
  • Salt(according to taste)
  • Cilantro chopped-1/4 cup
Process:

  • Prepare all ingredients chopped onion, green chillies and cilantro, grated ginger 

  • Put chopped cabbage in bowl


  • Add chopped onion, green chillies and grated ginger 



  • Add chopped cilantro


  • Add salt(according to taste), cumin powder, asafetida(hing), coriander powder, red chilli powder







  • Add gram flour and add 3-4 tsp water, mix well and keep it aside for 5 min.



  • Heat oil in a pan


  • For more crispy pakoras before frying add 1 tbsp heated oil in mixture of pakora and mix well 
  • When oil is hot, make a small ball of the mixture and put it in oil 



  • Fry it from bottom



  • Flip it and fry from other side



  • Take it out in plate and serve with sauce and chutney
