Brown rice is something which is now can be seen in every home, people are moving away from white rice to more healthy option called brown rice. In this post I am going to share how healthy brown rice can be tasty as well.

- Brown rice - 1 cup
- Cooking oil- 2 tbsp
- 1/4 tsp cumin(jeera)
- Green chillies chopped -2
- 1/2 medium size red onion chopped
- Broccoli florets-1/2 cup
- Green beans chopped-1/2 cup
- Red bell pepper chopped -1/2 cup
- Yellow bell pepper chopped -1/2 cup
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- Peas -1/4 cup
- Corn-1/4 cup
- 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp chaat masala(optional)
- Salt(according to taste)
- Water 1.5 cup
Process:
- Wash and soak brown rice for 1 hour
- Put brown rice in a pressure cooker add a pinch of salt so rice won't stick, and pressure cook for 15 to 20 min on medium heat,
- After 15-20 minutes rice will look like as shown in the picture below
- Prepare all other ingredients chopped green chillies , red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, green beans and onion and florets of broccoli
- Add 2 tbsp oil in a pan and heat it
- Add 1/4 tsp cumin and stir
- Add chopped onion and green chillies
- Stir for one minute till onions are translucent and add salt(according to taste), add red chilli powder and stir
- Add chopped bell peppers, broccoli, peas, corn and beans and mix well and cover it 5 min
