Pesarattu/ crispy moong dal dosa

In this post I am going to share a recipe which is a very healthy alternative of traditional dosa, made from moong dal.



Serves :- 2-3

Ingredients :-
  • Green moong dal-1 cup
  • Cooking oil
  • Ginger  - 1 inch
  • Green chillies - 4
  • 1 red onion chopped finely
  • Salt(according to taste)
  Process:
  • Wash and soak dal for overnight   


  • Chop onions finely

  • Put soaked daal in grinder, add green chillies, ginger and grind it by adding some water to a smooth batter, batter should not be more thick or thin   



  • Add salt as per taste in the batter.
  • Take flat pan, heat it , heat should be medium and grease with little bit of oil.  

  • Now take a tissue, fold it and wet it and clean oil with wet tissue to reduce the temperature of pan  

  • Put dosa batter in the pan and spread it with the help of a spatula 




  • Put some oil and spread some chopped onions on the top of dosa and  let it cook from bottom side till it starts to become brown  

  • Flip it and cook it from other side 


  • Take it out in a plate and serve with chutney
