Palak poori/Spinach poori

In any Indian home if poori is being prepared , then definitely it is some occasion/festival or some guest is invited for lunch and dinner. Poori adds a royal feeling to the meal, and in this post I am going to share my recipe of Palak Poori

In this post i am going to share the recipe of palak poori.


Serves :2

Ingredients:
  • Spinach/palak : 200 gm
  • Wheat flour/atta : 3 cup
  • Cooking oil 
  • 1/4 tsp carom seeds(ajwain)
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • Salt(  to taste)

Process:
  • Clean and wash spinach(palak) 

  • Add 1/2 cup of water, add 1/4 tsp salt to water and when water starts to boil add spinach(palak), blanch it for 1 min then turn off the stove. Drain it, and keep it aside and let it cool down on room temperature for 5 to 10 min



  • Take mixer and put blanched spinach and grind it to make it like paste , if required add little bit of water



  • Take wheat flour in a pan 


  • Add salt(to taste)


  • Add carom seeds(ajwain), ginger paste, garlic paste, and 2 tsp oil





  • Mix it well and add spinach(palak) paste in it


  • Make dough by slowly adding water into it



  • Cover it and let the dough rest for half an hour
  • Heat the pan and add enough oil for deep frying


  • Now make small dough ball and roll it like poori

  • Add one drop of oil to roll the poori




  • Put poori in heated oil and deep fry it from both sides




  • Take it out on tissue to soak excess oil, and serve hot with any curry
