Bhindi Masla Fry

Bhindi, the most popular vegetable among all specially for kids. In this post I am going to share a very easy and quick recipe of Bhindi Masala Fry.



Serves :- 4
Ingredients :-
  • Okara (bhindi) :- 1 pound (450 grams)
  • 1 tbsp ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp garlic chopped
  • 1/2 tomato sliced
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 3-4 green chillies chopped
  • 5-6 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp whole cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powde
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli podwer
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder

Process :-

  • Wash the okra and make sure it is dry, then cut it in medium pieces as shown below

  • Chop onion, ginger, garlic, tomato and green chillies

  • Heat the oil in pan, and add whole cumin 



  • When cumin is brown, add chopped garlic and stir for some time





  • Add ginger and stir

  • Add green chillies and onion and stir


  • Stir occasionly till onions are translucent  

  • Add salt and turmeric powder

  • Add cumin powder , and coriander powder



  • Add red chilli powder
  • Stir for 1-2 minutes




  • Now add okra (bhindi), and mix well and cover with a lid




  • Stir occasionally , and cook for around 10-15 minutes.




  • Your bhindi masala fry should be ready by now
