This is a simple version of bread toast/pakoda for a quick evening snack.
Makes : 8
Ingredients:
- Gram flour/besan-1 cup
- Whole wheat bread /white bread - 4
- Cooking oil for shallow frying
- 2 green chillies chopped finely
- 1 tsp garlic minced
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- Pinch of asafetida(hing)
- 1/4 tsp cumin(jeera) powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander(dhania) powder
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder(according to taste)
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
- Salt(according to taste)
Process:
- Cut the whole wheat bread in triangles as shown in the picture below
- Prepare other ingredients :- chopped green chillies, minced garlic and chopped cilantro as shown in the picture below
- Take gram flour(besan) in a bowl
- Add asafetida(hing), salt(according to taste), chopped green chillies, garlic, cumin(jeera) powder, coriander(dhania) powder, red chilli powder, ginger paste,turmeric powder, chopped cilantro
- Add water slowly and whisk it till there are no lumps in the batter, batter should be consistent not very thick or thin
